Official lodging will be the Radio Inn Apartments. You may also make lodging

arrangements independently. If you do so, please send us your plans, address, and

Located in the embassy district the Radio Inn Apartments is quiet, away from black

hopefully by October 1, 2006. These apartments include a kitchenette, small sitting room

with television, telephone, bathroom with shower and separate water closet room. Each

bedroom has two single beds. A smoky glass door separates the two bedrooms in the

two-bedroom apartments. Ceiling to floor doors open onto the street and all room

Frequently asked questions about TOUR payments and procedures

1. When and how do I pay the $675 Program costs?

Answer: $675 due before departing for the TOUR in two installments

Make checks out to Mary A. Epstein. This amount covers the costs

of a city bus tour, two concerts, receptions, lectures, visits to the Kodály, Liszt and

Bárdos Museums, and observations planned by Lilla Gábor.

2. What do I need to do before leaving the USA?

Answer: Update your passport.

Secure release time from teaching.

Make your airline reservations and purchase plane ticket.

Send me your itinerary including departures and arrivals.

3. Where will I stay and how do I pay for hotel while in Budapest?

Answer: The hotel Radio Inn Apartments. They do not require a credit card to

hold your reservation, but upon arrival they will need your credit card imprint.

You will pay them with your credit card at the end of your stay.

4. What other expenses will I incur while in Budapest?

Answer: Other anticipated costs while in Hungary are for breakfast at hotel daily

for $13, other meals, taxis, public transportation, shopping at music and other

stores (Lilla Gábor will help you to buy a one- week subway pass – well worth the

investment). Presently the price of a weekly pass is 4000 forints – about 25 USD.

5. Who else is going on the TOUR?

Answer: Others from across the United States and Canada.

In February, I will send an address list of all TOUR participants.

6. How many people can fit into one hotel room.?

Conceivably as many as four but in case you value your privacy, my preferred

arrangement would be two people staying in a two-bedroom apartment.

However, in the 2005 Tour four people happily shared a two-bedroom apartment.

7. Is insurance offered for theft, medical, travel changes, or other unforeseen emergencies?

Answer: The Kodály Music Institute and the program leader Lilla

Gábor do not assume any responsibilities for the above.

You are traveling as an independent traveler.
